“Lash Champions League 2017” Championship (Conclusions)

The second edition of the Lash Champions League - an international competition in the field of eyelash extensions and eyelash lamination , held on 10 and 11 June 2017 in the enchanting city of Bergamo , was a great success .

This championship brought with it a great novelty: the nomination of the Lamination , which for being a relatively young treatment still obtained about twenty participants. We did not expect anything better!

We have noted with great pleasure, the great involvement of the participants in all the nominations. The most successful of all is the Natural look nomination with almost 50 participants . It was a huge satisfaction to see so many girls putting their skills into play, without fear of comparison.

Equally surprising was the participation in the Expert category (teachers). The saying “rest on your laurels” is often used when you remain still after having achieved goals and obtained successes but this is not the case! The Expert category was one of the most crowded and for the high professional level, consequently, also the category with the toughest and most demanding competition. I feel proud of every girl who participated and showed off her professionalism without fear in front of the other Masters. I will never stop saying that participating already brings you one step away from victory. Just participating makes you among the strongest in this field!

Nothing was missing in our amazing event, starting from: the YouTube channel “Lashlandia”, which made many interviews during the competition and made visible and palpable the tension of participation, the happiness of the winners and the celebration of the awards; up to the delicious and fabulous cake created by the best pastry chefs in Bergamo, naturally all on the theme of the Lash Champions League.

This year we had a 200m2 room for the “battle” and an entire hotel floor for banners, photos, coffee breaks, briefings, relaxation area, etc. Just to make a comparison of the growth of the event... last year everything took place in 80m2 ;-)
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the NH Group Staff ( Hotel NH Orio al Serio ) for the good service and assistance provided.

As in all major competitions, unfortunately, there were problems. In fact, there was, to our great regret, a disqualification of a participant, for not respecting the working times of the competition. In the name of privacy and respect for all, we will not indicate names but we will take this opportunity to remind, for future editions, the simple rule: when the time is up, you have to put down the tweezers!

The Lash Champions League, however, ended with great success, awarding 57 cups , 3 of which in different places around the world , rewarding the winners of the online nomination ARTWORK, with the theme: Barbie. First place flew to Arizona , second to Poland and third to Australia ! The sympathy award, again for the Artwork work, remained in Italy, awarding the beautiful Barbie Ballerina by Iryna Lukyanets from Naples.

A special prize was also awarded: the Grand Prix , to the participant who obtained the most points overall, adding up the votes assigned in all the nominations held in the two days of the competition. With a total of 1685.9 points , the << iPad Air 2 >> up for grabs was won by the very talented Tetiana Shaburova who participated and won 4 cups in the nominations: Natural Look, 2D volume, 5-6D volume and Lamination.

I, in turn, want to thank the participants who trained at my Academy and above all highlight the names of the winners who come from my own teachings:

- Sara Contento : excellent winner of 1st place, Master category in eyelash lamination;
- Iryna Lukiyanets : 2nd place, Master category in lamination and who has very recently started to be an integral part of the Light Lashes staff, expanding the presence of the Light Lashes Academy in Naples;
- Mihaela Oana Vlasin : 3rd place Master in the “Natural look” nomination;
- Yuliya Malyarchuk : winner of 1st place in the Professional category in the 3-4D volume nomination;
- Sara Alghisi : 3rd place, Junior category in the 2D volume and 5-6D volume nominations. The very young and smiling Sara is still totally unknown to all of you but from today she is no longer ;-) and you will hear her name again…

I am truly very proud of your commitment, your grit and tenacity!

Finally, I cannot fail to highlight the number of judges present at LCL 2017. 12 very prestigious names who worked for two days giving a fair, correct and impeccable judgment for each participant. We are also proud to point out that a copy of the assigned scores was immediately available after the evaluation of the model. In this way we obtained a system as correct and transparent as possible towards the participants who unfortunately do not enjoy this service in all the competitions in which they participate.
Girls, all your messages that I have been receiving since June 11th and your thanks give me immense strength to improve and grow this field even more. Thank you all, don't give up, always seek perfection, "roll up your sleeves" , participate in courses, travel from one country to another, sign up for different competitions!

Our reality as Lashmakers is so broad, so exciting and so unpredictable…
